i. Archiving Research and Data
Researchers who use data, code, or resources from Red Hen are expected to
- Cite and credit Red Hen appropriately in publications, grant applications, lectures, and other presentations
- Design in advance a way for any tagging, coding, and analysis to reside within Red Hen for future researchers, and to take responsibility for ensuring that it is placed in Red Hen. Red Hen will provide credit and primary tags and other descriptors so that contributions to Red Hen by individual researchers can be distinguished, searched, and filtered as such.
- Post datasets derived from Red Hen in a repository, along with fully annotated code used to generate any statistical analysis or visualization.
Researchers are also encouraged to make publications widely available through resources such as the Social Science Research Network.
